Crafts for summer: weaving butterfly tutorial, kids craft ideas

	You can use any round flower loom to weave the butterflies.  I like to use Hana-Ami shadow clover. looms with twelve spokes will also work, but you'll have to experiment to see what you want. If you use a shade with 24 spokes,  your wind shadow  , leaving the empty three-spoke in the top and bottom.  For the 12 said the loom, I would try to leave an empty saying.
	Subject needle with yarn you want to weave with. You will need to cut the yarn long enough to ensure the center and weave a large wing. Start by weaving a single thread, under the same (and so on), the opposite is true.  Write 4 "/ 10cm tail to weave in the beginning later.

	Weave the other wings in the same way.
	When you have finished weaving, make a butterfly with a loom
	and gently insert the refill line weaving loops, which remained on the pegs. Secure loose ends of yarn threads on their hinges at the back of the weaving.
	When you are finished you will have the basic shape of a butterfly.  You can experiment with stripes (just leave a few inches at the end of each color, and darn it later), or variegated yarn with short wavelengths of each color.

	To embroider your body butterfly and attach it to the background at the same time, make one big stitch up the center
	Then bring your yarn from the right side, slightly higher than in the upper part of the center stitch.
	Subject yarn under center stitch
	and take the yarn to the back on the left side. Protect your thread on the wrong side F of your work. Now you have a ready-made butterfly firmly attached to your background fabric. Repeat these steps for your other butterflies.  You can experiment by changing the length of the body stitch length of the antenna, adding sequins or beads to the tips of antennae or embroider more information on the wings. Scare up a little fun by adding these haunted holiday decorations to your holiday table. You can even write peoples' names on them to turn them into place cards. Just coat the leaves with sparkly white frost and then draw on ghost faces!

Supplies: 

Silk leaves  (found in craft and department stores)
White fabric paint
White or silver glitter
Paintbrush or foam brush
Scissors
Waxed paper
Black permanent marker

Here's how:

1. Turn each leaf so the points face up. Use the scissors to round the top to resemble a ghost's head.

2. Working on a waxed paper-covered surface, paint the leaves white (front and back). If needed, give them a second coat.

3. While the paint is still tacky, sprinkle the surfaces with glitter.

4. Once the paint dries, use the marker to draw on ghostly facial features.

The perfect accessory for any Halloween party, these gorgeously ghastly charms really make a statement! These are a great accompaniment to a witch costume or a fun and creative craft for a Halloween party. Making the charms will require help from Mom, but once assembled, they're easy for young crafters to string onto beading elastic.

Supplies: 

Colored pencils or markers
Thin jeweler's wire or craft wire (flexible enough to bend without pliers)
Glue stick or glue dots
Scrapbook paper
Scissors
Pencil (for drawing the charms)
Beading elastic
Pony beads
Drop of craft glue

Here's how:

	1. For each charm, cut out matching pairs of miniature Halloween symbols, such as mini pumpkins or skulls (those shown here measure about 3/4 inch to 1-1/4 inches wide/tall). An easy way to accomplish this is to put two squares of paper back to back so you can cut out both at once. Then, your child can use colored pencils or markers to embellish the charms as she likes. You can even create candy corn by gluing strips of yellow, orange, and white paper together, as shown, and then cutting the shapes from it.
	2. Cut a 2-1/2-inch length of wire for each charm. Loosely bend each length in half and twist the ends together a few times about 1/8 inch below the bend to form a small loop, as shown. Use glue dots to sandwich the ends of one of these little hangers between the two pieces of each charm. (Trim the wire ends with scissors if they are too long). Firmly squeeze together the two layers of the charm to make sure they are well adhered to the wire and each other.
	3. Cut a length of beading elastic that is several inches longer than the circumference of your child's wrist.
	4. With each charm, slide a pony bead down over the wire loop so that it rests just above the charm. String the charms onto the elastic, spacing them apart with several pony beads.
	5. When the bracelet is the desired length, tightly tie the ends of the beading elastic together with an overhand knot, leaving a little bit of slack so the charms will dangle. Use a dab of glue to secure the knot, if needed. Trim the elastic ends about 3/4 inch from the knot and thread them back through the adjacent beads to hide them. Source:sheknows.com

To manufacture them it took me quite a bit. Glue gun, old CD-ROMs, the buttons on the keyboard, screwdriver and a small Chinese watch. I promoted the clock with a screwdriver, carefully removed the needle and pulled out the movement. Before you shoot the arrow, write down or memorize the sequence in which they were located on an hourly roll. The CD drive in the center is a convenient little hole.In it, I inserted the shaft of the clock and on the reverse side of the disc taped clockwork with the glue gun.

 

Then carefully put the arrow and put in the battery. Hooray, the clock runs! Now do the numbers. We do them out of old buttons from the keyboard. First, the button must be prepared. Leg will interfere with bonding to the disc, so I carefully sawed off a small handsaw and the excess part of the stalk slightly honed fine sandpaper. Now they are firmly and evenly fit on a CD.

 

 

I marked out the disc with a protractor to 12 parts. At first, held two perpendicular lines through the center (12-6, 3-9). Then, each sector using a protractor divided into three parts. After that, you only glue gun to glue the figures are ready to watch.

 

You can glue the rear guard, to watch had stopped. Or a small loop on the clock mechanism, for which you can hang the clock on the wall. The last thing I summed up the right needle and put the laptop beside her husband. I hope my gift to him like that.
